Is the Single Window in Your Sights as We Move into 2013?

Is the single window part of your global trade vision in 2013? I hope your answer is, “Yes—the transition to the single window is on my ‘trends to watch list,’ as are export reform, electronic communication with customs and other government agencies (OGA), and the introduction of new Korean free-trade agreements.”

Digitizing the Global Supply Chain

Digitizing the global supply chain is transmitting and receiving, in the proper format, information to IT systems and people. Proper formats include defined interfaces to talk to external and internal systems, as well as, for example, emails to individual users.

Defining the Global Supply Chain

The term global supply chain comprises the physical movement of goods (including intellectual property), contractual transactions (transfer of ownership), and associated compliance actions. It can also cover campaign and opportunity management, milestones within the sales cycle, financial transactions, returns, repair, maintenance, and service.
